TYLER SHIMABUKURO

Garcia School Production Manager/Baritone

TYLER SHIMABUKURO, Baritone, was born and raised on the island of Oahu. He developed a lifelong passion for music and fell in love with the art of singing. He continues to persevere towards his dream to become a performer, as well as a voice teacher. With twelve years of choir experience, Tyler performs as a professional soloist and section leader for the Community Church Of Honolulu. He is currently finishing his final semester at the University of Hawaii at Manoa and is taking lessons under Dr. Maya Sypert. Tyler was featured in several concerts on the Big Island with Hawaii International Music Festival in both 2023 and 2024 as part of The Garcia School. He was recently invited by the Kona Choral Society and Orchestra to be their bass soloist for their rendition of Handel's Messiah. He is greatly appreciative to have this wonderful opportunity and to be one step closer to his dream.
